The Pennant Ridges

Introduction
We will be setting off from ALC carpark @ 4pm to go to LLanberis, Fri 22nd June.

Costs are £15 per night + petrol costs. Return on Sunday 24th June afternoon about 5pm. We aim to climb the Pennant Ridges on the Saturday. We have 12 places booked, a full £30 non refundable deposit secures your place on a first come first served basis. Anyone interested should register here and see Richard Waters with your deposit.

This is an excellent walk with something for everyone including some ridge walking and scrambles up the summits of Moel Hebog, Y Garn and Craig Cwm Silyn in the West of the Snowdonia National Park in Wales. All the way up you will be presented with unsurpassable views over the sea on both sides of the Lleyn Peninsula, Anglesey in the North and down Cardigan bay in the South and the village of Beddgelert and innumerable mountains to the East. For those who like a sense of adventure and achievement this has all the elements of an exhilarating and rewarding day.

The Accommodation
We are staying at the Bryn Du Mountain Centre in Llanberis. This is a very pleasant Hostel situated in the centre of Llanberis and close to all local amenities. It offers excellent facilities of an excellent standard at a very reasonable price including breakfast (juice, cereals and hot sandwiches), Bunks with Duvet's, tea/coffee making facilities, dining area, lounge and patio area. A highly recommended, and popular with us, place to stay.

Directions to the Bryn Du Mountain Centre in Llanberis Snowdonia can be obtained here.

Eating and Drinking
Llanberis offers several eating and drinking establishments, together with a local Spar.
